I hope everyone had a successful harvest and enjoyable holiday
season; sometimes they can both get to be long and drawn out.
Fortunately, water sources seem to have improved after a long dry
summer.
In today’s economy, Federation Coop’s Cranberry Supply Division
feels the need to step up and try some new products that will help
our growers have healthier vines and improve yields. In 2012 we
introduced a limited amount of a new fertilizer grade, CranMax Plus
8-8-24. It is manufactured with 21-0-0-24s and 0-0-50-17s being its
main ingredients. These two products have been known for many years
to be the desirable sources of N and K in cranberry production. We
feel this is a step in the right direction for better yields and
healthier vines. The other sources of N and K are higher in sodium,
and can actually slow down cranberry plants. We have increased the
production of CranMax Plus 8-8-24 to meet higher demands in 2013. In
addition, we have also added CranMax Plus 12-12-12 to our line,
which is also manufactured with 21-0-0-24s and 0-0-50-17s. We hope
that with these two grades, along with our other product line, we
have exactly what you need to maximize your yields in 2013 and
beyond.
As always, we are striving to be the best in the business, trying
new things to increase yields. We appreciate your business, and are
happy you chose to keep it local. Good luck in 2013!
